Personalise and Schedule SMS for Selected Group Members

By Zoril SMS team · Published

A group is an audience, not an instruction to message everyone. Select only the people who need the message and review what each person will receive.

1. Check the group and select recipients

Open Groups, choose the group and review its contact list. Add, edit or remove contacts when needed. Search and filter to select particular members; check number format, duplicates and opt-out exclusions before continuing. A selected member still needs the appropriate permission for the message purpose.

2. Personalise with safe fallbacks

Choose a saved template or write a message. Use the supported merge-field picker and supply a fallback when a name or custom value is missing. Preview recipients with short names, long names and missing fields. Check the final sender identification, unsubscribe instruction and part count after rendering; do not send an unfilled placeholder.

3. Test, then confirm or schedule

Send a controlled test to an authorised number, review the final audience count and choose the correct gateway/SIM. To schedule, set a future day, date and time, verify the displayed timezone and select recurrence only when needed. Review the saved campaign rather than assuming that closing the form saved it.

4. Monitor and reuse the list

Track progress in Campaigns and Gateway Status. Pause or cancel unsent work when necessary; messages already handed off cannot be recalled. Recently sent lists let you compose a new message for previous recipients or save them as a group. Recheck consent, opt-outs and recipient relevance each time instead of repeating an old send blindly.
